Stories of strangers criticizing each other have filled the media recently. Parents have been reported to police or child protective services for leaving a child alone in a locked car for a couple of minutes or allowing their kids to play unsupervised in a park. In the same time it takes to criticize someone, you could encourage another person.

I am so in love with this story of the encouragement of a stranger. Maybe it’s because I love reading so much, and I know the joy that is in store for this young girl, if only she will overcome her fear.
